Responsibilities
· Maintain and monitor production services, investigate incidents, and improve system observability through logs, metrics, and alerts.
· Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial workflows, including payments, installment credit, settlements, and refunds.
· Manage database migrations and production releases using safe, reversible deployment practices.
· Maintain reliable integrations and webhooks with external services, including payment gateways, messaging platforms, and identity verification providers.
· Identify and reduce technical debt by simplifying code, improving architecture, and strengthening maintainability.
· Maintain, optimize, and accelerate large automated test suites to support reliable and frequent releases.
· Review code and establish engineering standards while supporting efficient development practices and AI-assisted coding tools.
· Improve system performance, availability, and scalability through continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical improvements.
· Collaborate with product and engineering teams to balance rapid feature delivery with system stability and operational reliability.
· Participate in on-call rotations, investigate production issues, and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
Requirements
· 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
· Strong Python proficiency, preferably with FastAPI.
· Advanced PostgreSQL, transaction, and indexing knowledge.
· Experience with database migrations and schema management.
· Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
· Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Sentry or Grafana.
· Experience maintaining production systems and handling on-call responsibilities.
· Strong automated testing skills, particularly with pytest.
· Experience with payment systems, digital wallets, or credit platforms is a plus.
· Familiarity with external APIs, AI coding assistants, and agentic development is an advantage.
