Responsibilities
· Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and RESTful APIs for high-traffic fintech products.
· Develop and manage sensitive financial systems including wallets, payments, and transaction processing with data integrity.
· Design stable async queue processing systems resilient to failures with idempotency handling.
· Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability issues in production using logs and APM.
· Collaborate closely with product managers and frontend developers for seamless integration.
· Architect database schemas and optimize queries for MySQL and MongoDB at scale.
· Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and protection against XSS and SQL injection.
· Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following SOLID principles.
· Provide technical leadership in architecture and product decisions as the technical voice.
· Continuously improve development processes using AI-assisted tooling for productivity and quality.
Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend development with PHP and Laravel.
· Genuine command of Eloquent ORM and clean architecture following SOLID principles.
· Proven experience building systems where data integrity is critical in financial environments.
· Strong proficiency with MySQL and MongoDB including indexing, query optimization, and slow query analysis.
· Hands-on experience with message brokers and queues like Redis or RabbitMQ for stable systems.
· Ability to write clean, testable, secure code with authentication, authorization, and vulnerability prevention.
· Demonstrated ability to debug production issues using logs, metrics, and APM tools.
· Experience in fintech or financial systems is strongly preferred.
· Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills across product, frontend, and infrastructure teams.
